As Lay Technician Supervisor

Your responsibility will be to: 

• Supervise lay technicians during cable loading, laying, and burial activities
• Monitor and control cable lay equipment such as carousels and tensioners
• Ensure maintenance, inspection, and readiness of equipment
• Enforce safety procedures and participate in risk assessments
• Maintain operational records and report progress and incidents

This role is offshore based on rotation periods at sea. You report to the Shift Supervisor and collaborate closely with vessel crew and multidisciplinary teams onboard and onshore.

You are an organized and capable person who coordinates tasks in dynamic offshore environments, you communicate clearly with team members and stakeholders and maintain focus on safety and operational continuity. You take initiative when challenges occur and support well-structured teamwork during offshore activities.

You also have:   

• Preferably a Technical diploma or vocational training in Engineering or Marine Technology
• 5–10 years of offshore experience in cable laying operations
• Experience with cable handling systems such as carousels and tensioners
• Knowledge of ROV operations, subsea equipment, and deck operations
• Experience supervising offshore technicians and coordinating teams
