Technical Support Representative – Electrium

Location: This is a hybrid role where you will be able to split your time between Hindley Green office.

We’re looking for a Technical Support Representative to join our Electrical Products team.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys solving problems, supporting customers and developing their technical expertise within a collaborative and supportive environment. Working as part of a close-knit team, you’ll play an important role in helping customers identify the right solutions for their needs while delivering an excellent customer experience.

As a key point of contact for customers, you’ll provide technical product support, respond to enquiries and prepare quotations across our product portfolio. You’ll work closely with colleagues across the business, gaining exposure to both the technical and commercial aspects of the customer journey while developing your knowledge of electrical products and applications.

Whether you already have experience in technical support, customer service or internal sales, or you’re looking to move into a more customer-focused role from an electrical, manufacturing or engineering environment, we’ll provide the support and training needed to help you succeed.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Providing technical support and guidance to customers across a range of electrical products and applications.
• Responding to customer enquiries via telephone, email and other communication channels.
• Preparing and issuing customer quotations using internal pricing tools.
• Recording and maintaining customer and project information within CRM systems.
• Supporting the identification and tracking of project opportunities.
• Building strong relationships with customers and colleagues to deliver the best possible customer experience.
• Supporting wider team activities and contributing to shared goals and objectives.
• Participating in ongoing training to develop product, application and industry knowledge.
• Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and helping drive service excellence.

Essential

• Positive, adaptable mindset with a willingness to learn new products and technologies.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Desirable

• Electrical qualification such as ONC, HNC, BTEC, Degree or equivalent industry experience.
• Knowledge of electrical products, systems and applications.
• Experience reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics or customer specifications.
• Experience in technical support, customer service, internal sales or a similar customer-facing role.
• Experience preparing quotations or supporting customers with product selection.
• Knowledge of SalesForce or similar CRM systems
• Understanding of product standards, regulations and technical documentation.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a methodical approach to work.
