Specialist Mechanical Engineer

Do you enjoy reverse engineering or identifying underlying root causes in technical situations? Are you experienced within handling multiple stakeholders as well as turning complex information to manageable insights to people less technically informed? Then this position might be for you!

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized support on bolted connections, fasteners, and structural components
• Initiate root cause analysis and provide short or long-term solutions
• Review inspection reports and recommend corrective actions
• Analyze turbine data to track and assess failure trends 
• Handle technical queries and represent engineering in client meetings
• Detect design flaws and coordinate improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, Marine Engineering or equivalent combined with work experience in structural design
• Extensive knowledge in design and applications of bolted connections, various bolt tensioning processes, ITH smart tools, as well as steel structural components. Knowledge of vibration is welcomed
• Ability to communicate clearly in English, verbally and in writing
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Familiarity with design standards as well as wind industry standards
• Background in the wind energy sector is preferred but not mandatory
