Smulders HSM is looking for a Medewerker Technische Dienst to strengthen our team on a permanent basis. In this role, you will be responsible for keeping installations, equipment and facilities at our production location in Schiedam in good working condition.

You will contribute directly to a safe working environment and to reliable, well-functioning technical processes across our site. This is a varied, hands-on position in which you will carry out installation, maintenance and repair work and support the continuity of our production facilities.

Responsibilities

As a Technical Services Technician, your responsibilities will include:

• Installing electrical systems, including pulling cables and wiring, mounting pipes and installing distribution boards.
• Installing temporary electrical and factory gas facilities.
• Mounting and connecting components such as switches, sockets, lighting fixtures, data networks and security systems.
• Inspecting, maintaining and repairing existing electrical installations.
• Inspecting and certifying tools and equipment.
• Identifying and resolving minor faults in electrical and gas installations.
• Reading technical drawings and diagrams.
• Preparing the required materials and tools for the work to be carried out.
• Working in accordance with applicable safety regulations, including NEN 1010 and NEN 3140.
• Ensuring a safe and tidy workplace.

• Good physical condition and a hands-on mentality.
• Preferably several years of relevant work experience.
• A team-oriented attitude, while also being able to work independently when required.
• Flexibility to work at another location, such as Stormpolder, when needed.
• Willingness to occasionally work overtime or during weekends.
• A forklift certificate and/or overhead crane certificate is considered an advantage.
